Background Music -

The most common audio(sound) files are .wav, .mp3, .midi
Background music plays automatically when the page loads.
The majority of web surfers use the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. Some use Netscape.

Each browser requires its own specific tag.
Almost 90 percent of visitors will be using the Microsoft Explorer browser. Current versions of Netscape are adopting more and more Explorer tags.

For Explorer visitors:

<BG sound="audiofilename.fileextension">

For Netscape visitors:

<embed src="audiofilename.mp3" hidden="true">

Hidden tells the browser not to display a console(player)
There is a combo tag, addressing the needs of each browser.
It's okay, but i don't recommend it.

<EMBED SRC="audiofilename.extension" AUTOSTART=TRUE HIDDEN=TRUE> <NOEMBED> <BGSOUND SRC="audiofilename.extension"> </NOEMBED>

The Problem is that the embed tag will trip a warning window in some explorer browsers that viewers must close before viewing the page.
